The Opportunity
Due to company growth and newly awarded projects, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Draftsperson to join our LEC Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with Project and Design Managers, Engineers and Drafting Lead to deliver water infrastructure projects.
- Development of designs including drawings, switchboard general arrangements and sections, workshop detail drawings, equipment specifications, control schematics, wiring and termination diagrams etc.
- Ensuring the design and construction fully complies with the project and client standards.
- Draft as constructed revisions after receipt of red pen mark-ups for site including liaison with project staff.
- Liaise as required with suppliers, external consultants and contractors.
- Site measurements and investigations for incorporation into design drawings.
- Assist with drawing and documentation management and administration.
- Liaison with workshop fabrication, project construction and other contractors as required.
What We’re Looking For
- The opportunity to be fully involved in interesting, multi-discipline projects from design all the way through to commissioning.
- Perth based position in our Balcatta office, fabrication and assembly facilities.
Skills and Experience:
- Diploma of Engineering (preferably Electrical) or similar Design/Drafting qualifications.
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ drafting experience in related disciplines.
- Knowledge of documentation and drawing management systems.
- Experience with Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant and water industry preferred.
- Past experience with, or desire to, work in multi-disciplined projects.
- An enthusiastic, flexible and keen attitude is a must.
- Keen to learn and to acquire skills and develop within the Company.
