Job Title: Control System Engineer (PLC / SCADA) – Allen Bradley | Darwin, Australia
We are hiring an experienced Control System Engineer for an exciting industrial automation opportunity based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
Must have strong hands-on commissioning experience (not only design/programming).
This is a hands-on role covering full lifecycle control systems engineering, including design, programming, testing, and site commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support control systems using Allen-Bradley Logix platforms
- Work with SCADA systems (CITECT, AVEVA, FactoryTalk View SE, Ignition)
- Configure and support Schneider PLC systems
- Design control schematics, electrical I/O systems, and network topology (L2/L3)
- Prepare FAT/SAT documentation and functional descriptions
- Interpret P&ID diagrams, electrical schematics, and SLDs
- Support site commissioning of VSDs, instruments, field devices, PLC logic, and I/O systems
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience in PLC and SCADA systems
- Industrial automation / control systems engineering background
- Ability to work across design, programming, testing, and commissioning
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Salary: AUD 140,000 – 170,000 + Super (per annum) depending on experience, interview performance, and capability assessment
Location: Darwin, Australia (On-site role)
