Role Title: Accommodation and Hospitality Manager
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accommodation & Hospitality Manager to oversee the daily operations of our guest house accommodation business, specialising in privately managed short-stay holiday properties throughout Yamba, NSW.
This is a hands-on management role with a significant focus on housekeeping operations, property presentation and ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional accommodation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple guest house and private short-stay accommodation properties.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise housekeeping activities to ensure all accommodation is cleaned, presented and maintained to a consistently high standard.
- Develop cleaning schedules, inspection procedures and quality assurance processes to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, supervise and support housekeeping and accommodation staff.
- Prepare staff rosters and allocate duties to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor accommodation occupancy, coordinate guest arrivals and departures, and ensure properties are ready for check-in.
- Respond professionally to guest enquiries, requests, complaints and feedback, resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to service quality and efficiency.
- Manage inventory levels for linen, amenities, cleaning products and other accommodation supplies.
- Coordinate maintenance requirements with contractors to ensure all properties remain safe, functional and well presented.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring operational budgets while managing expenditure and controlling operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures and accommodation standards.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports and housekeeping documentation.
- Work closely with business owners to improve guest services, occupancy outcomes and overall business performance.
About You
- Previous experience managing accommodation, guest houses, serviced apartments, hotels or short-stay holiday properties.
- Demonstrated leadership experience supervising housekeeping or accommodation teams.
- Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Relevant hospitality, accommodation management or business qualifications are highly regarded.
What We Offer
- Full-time permanent position based in Yamba, NSW.
- Salary of $70,000–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
