The opportunity | Catering Assistants
Exciting things are happening at Joondalup Health Campus! As we launch our brand-new Private Room Service Kitchen, we’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our growing team across both public and private services.
In this hands-on role, no two days are the same. From delivering meals with a smile, keeping our kitchen running smoothly, you’ll play a vital part in creating safe, high-quality, patient-centred dining experiences.

Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, various shifts available between 05:30 and 21:00. We are offering a part-time contract of 50 hours per fortnight.
About the Role
Reporting to the Catering Manager, you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Providing exceptional, patient‑focused customer service

Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants

Preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals

Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards

Dishwashing

Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads

Be reliable, motivated and have a friendly nature

Experience within the healthcare industry desirable
Remuneration:
On offer is a base hourly rate of $31.35 - $32.96 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances, depending on experience or qualifications
