Visy Food Can is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our Yatala team. This is an ongoing casual opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time role.
About the Role
- Rotating Day Shifts: 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Monday to Friday only roster
- Working 3 days one week and 4 days the next
- Pay rate $47.46 (Casual) per hour plus Overtime
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-speed production machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform basic mechanical adjustments.
- Conduct quality inspections and defect analysis.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Minimise downtime through proactive problem-solving.
- Complete production and maintenance records accurately.
About You
- Previous machine operating experience in a high-speed FMCG environment.
- Experience within food, beverage, packaging, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong focus on workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work 12-hour shifts.
- Forklift License highly regarded.
