About the Role
As Senior Manager, Strategy, Fraud Analytics & Prevention within Customer Protection, you'll play a key role in shaping how ANZ protects customers from fraud and scams. You'll lead a team of talented analytics professionals, turning data into actionable insights that help detect emerging threats, strengthen controls, and improve customer outcomes. You'll also drive the future direction of our fraud and scams technology ecosystem, developing the strategy, roadmap and capabilities needed to stay ahead in an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape.
This is a role for someone who is naturally curious, loves diving into data, enjoys connecting the dots, and is passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems. You'll collaborate closely with experts across Product, Technology, Digital, Payments, Risk and Operations, while partnering with regulators, industry bodies and external vendors to deliver innovative solutions that make a meaningful difference for our customers.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Manager, Strategy, Fraud Analytics & Prevention, you will:
Lead a high-performing fraud and scams analytics team, uncovering emerging threats and translating complex data into actionable insights that protect our customers.
Shape the future of Customer Protection by developing data, analytics and technology strategies that drive smarter prevention, detection and response capabilities.
Own the roadmap for fraud and scam technology platforms, identifying opportunities to innovate and continuously improve how we combat evolving threats.
Partner with stakeholders across Digital, Technology, Product, Payments and Risk to design and deliver industry-leading customer protection solutions.
Stay at the forefront of fraud and scam trends, regulatory changes and emerging technologies, providing thought leadership both within ANZ and across the industry.
Build strong relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure our technology capabilities remain effective, scalable and future-ready.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
A genuine passion for fraud prevention, scam disruption and customer protection, with a strong desire to solve meaningful and complex challenges.
Deep analytical capability with experience in data science, advanced analytics, business intelligence or related fields, and a natural curiosity for uncovering insights in data.
Strong understanding of fraud, scams, financial crime or risk environments, ideally within banking, payments or financial services.
Experience working with fraud detection, transaction monitoring, analytics or risk technology platforms, with an appreciation of how technology can drive better customer outcomes.
Proven ability to develop strategy, influence senior stakeholders and lead complex initiatives from concept through to execution.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate technical and data-driven insights into clear business outcomes.
