Job Description
Ready for a sizzling career move? You will play a pivotal role in our Birdie Bar & Brasserie working alongside a fantastic team. The food you prepare, cook and serve makes our guests smile and wanting more.
Key responsibilities include:

Prepare and cook all food orders in line with kitchen recipes and standards with a sense of urgency

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and equipment care.

Monitor stock requirements, minimise wastage and support effective food cost control.

Assist with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for service.

Lead by example, support the kitchen team and assist in training and developing apprentices.

Communicate proactively with the Head Chef/Supervisor to ensure smooth and productive service.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Trade qualification and experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment.

Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.

A passion for learning and career development

Exemplary communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills.

Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.

Valid Australian working rights

The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekend & public holidays
