Kalmar Antiques have been dealing in antique jewellery, watches and pocket watches for 40 years. Their team consists of jewellery valuers, gemmologists, diamond graders, jewellers and watchmakers including being an authorized Omega watch service centre.
Kalmar Antiques are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join the team on a casual basis or potential full time in their Sydney boutique. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a team of experienced industry specialists who have a genuine passion for antique jewellery and vintage timepieces.
Kalmar Antiques are seeking an industry professional with experience across high-end jewellery and/or watch sales. Experience in antique jewellery is preferred but not essential, however a strong willing to learn about this aspect of jewellery and watches would be beneficial. The role is for an in-person casual position or possible full time base, with flexible availability through weekends and holiday periods essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to our Company Directors and Store Manager, you will provide exceptional service to customers across all business contact points including in-person, email, telephone and text message interactions
- Responsible for keeping up to date with latest product offerings, including liaising with our team of experts to ensure product knowledge is maintained to a high level
- Assist with the take-in and collection procedures for jewellery and watch repairs and valuations. This includes digitising records for our repair and inventory management system
- Be confident to work independently and in collaboration with the broader team of watchmakers, jewellers, valuers, sales associates and suppliers.
- Assist with the general cleanliness of the boutique and implement all security procedures, including opening and closing of the boutique.
- May be required to assist with occasional in-store workshops and events and will act as a brand ambassador for Kalmar Antiques.
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and professionally run workshop environment.
