We're excited to welcome a Pharmacy Assistant Senior - Cancer Care to our Pharmacy Department.
This role primarily provides high level clinical and operational pharmacy support to the Cancer Care Service, ensuring the safe, efficient and timely management of medicines across the patient care continuum. Working collaboratively with pharmacists, multidisciplinary teams, patients and community healthcare providers, the position undertakes medication reconciliation activities, preparation of medication orders and discharge supplies, dispensing, inventory management, and maintenance of clinical documentation and electronic medication systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all duties of the Pharmacy Assistant.
Assist with medication order and prescription preparation including ipharmacy dispensing and use of cancer care and other compounding electronic systems.
Support the safe and effective operation of electronic medication management systems including automated dispensing systems.
Conduct inventory management within hospital and health services facilities including ordering, receiving, storage, distribution and stocktake of medicines.
Remuneration value up to $37 410 p.a, comprising salary rates $38.36 - $41.35 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (permanent part time position 30.4 hrs p.f.).
