About the role:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who wants the best of both worlds! A day or two supporting clients and a couple of days working hard in the office!
In this role with MAAC Care, you will directly oversee the clinical care of our NDIS clients while mentoring our support staff. Your responsibilities will balance hands-on care—including conducting wound care and stepping in for support shifts as needed—with vital administrative oversight. This includes managing client medical appointments, monitoring health conditions, medication management and ensuring safe medication administration within a community setting.
You will work alongside our current House Team Leaders and Allocations Coordinator, to give clinical insight and knowledge within the management team
Essential Requirements:
- AHPRA Registration: Valid and active registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- 2 Years Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, showcasing your expertise and dedication.
- Experience in Community Nursing (desired, but not essential).
- Working with Children's Check: Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our young clients.
- NDIS Check: Understanding the importance of compliance within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
- Police Check: A clear police record, reflecting our commitment to providing a secure environment for our clients.
- Australian Drivers License: A valid license enabling you to provide home-based care efficiently.
- Reliable and Roadworthy Car: Dependable transportation to ensure consistent patient visits and care.Skills need:
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the clinical care of NDIS clients
- Proven Leadership skills to mentor our dedicated staff with your extensive clinical knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of medication practices to oversee clients' medication plans and ensure safe and accurate administration.
- Demonstrated expertise in wound management
