Harmony House Care is currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering person-centred care and supporting participants to achieve the highest possible quality of life.
This role involves providing 1:1 support to a participant with complex needs within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home.

Shift Times
- Morning Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Additional shifts may become available based on participant needs and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality 1:1 support within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.
- Deliver person-centred care while promoting participant independence, dignity, and choice.
- Implement and follow Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) consistently and professionally.
- Support participants with daily living activities, personal care, community participation, and household tasks as required.
- Accurately complete shift notes, incident reports, and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical and support team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with participants with complex support needs.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSP).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (if applicable).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (preferred).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting participants with mental health conditions.
- Experience working within Supported Independent Living (SIL) services.
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support and trauma-informed care.

Workplace Safety Requirements
All successful applicants must comply with workplace health and safety requirements. Workers are required to wear the following PPE while on shift:
- Scrubs
- Hair net
- Safety boots
- Shoe protectors
- Any additional PPE as directed by workplace policies
