About the role
The Business Officer provides essential business and administrative support that helps team run smoothly that includes managing finances, coordinating equipment purchases, support staffing and operational processes, improve business systems, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to deliver high-quality services.
Key duties of the role
Maintain accurate and current recording/reporting systems within the Directorate (including managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and effective resource allocation)
Identify opportunities for performance improvement in the areas of system integration, report preparation and reduction in manual effort.
Maintain and provide regular reports on workforce data and performance to Directorate Clinical Leads and the Business Support Team.
Monitoring and reporting on workforce KPIs, including police checks, performance reviews, contract end dates and ensuring accurate data in maintained in systems.
Skills and Experience
Appropriate tertiary qualification (e.g. Accounting, Workforce, Business, Commerce or Related Discipline) or willingness to undertake studies in such areas.
Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and concisely with all levels of management, staff and stakeholders.
Ability to cope with competing demands, priorities work and meet deadlines.
Experience in actively leading senior Managers in the management of administrative, workforce, financial and business resources at an operational level.
Experience in the monitoring of staff plans for budgeting and resource management purposes.
Intermediate experience in the use and application of computer software packages, particularly Microsoft and databases.
