Reporting to the Principal ICT, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Act as first point of contact and resolution for client reported hardware and software problems; maintain responsibility for logging jobs and escalating appropriately until the job is finished.
- Analyse business problems and identify technology solutions
- Design or improve systems as needed (software, workflows, processes)
- Create, modify, or delete User profiles and accounts in line with staff movements, responsibilities, and company security protocols.
- Install or relocate and configure workstation hardware and software as required by event or planned rollout/changeovers, including afterhours work.
- Procurement of IT infrastructure from suppliers as required.
- Provide support in the use of office applications.
- Rebuild workstations to the Standard Operating Environment
- knowledge of O365 to support users by phone and to assist with awareness.
- Liaise with the external support consultants as required.
- Ensure adherence to the Lifesaving Rules and the Organisational Values of: Dedication, Teamwork, Simplicity, Innovation and Excellence in order to drive a healthy workplace culture
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
- Proven capability in a corporate helpdesk environment
- Demonstrable power user level of knowledge of Windows Operating System on desktops and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, build or fault find and repair desktop machines, and basic fault finding for printers and other peripherals, install OS and software applications as required.
- Ability to work autonomously and be openly accountable for work practices.
- Practical exposure and some workplace experience in the use of Windows server Operating Systems and Microsoft Exchange as part of workplace duties
- Good interpersonal skills shown especially in a professional standard of verbal interaction with people inside and outside of the business.
- Enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude demonstrated by a willingness to complete tasks in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
