A Carer Peer Worker works under direction to facilitate the delivery of support services to carers and families of the mental health service.
A Carer Peer Worker is employed to assist carers and families, service providers and Non-Government Organisations (NGO) to develop a better understanding of the recovery framework while utilising a lived experience of caring for someone with mental health issues to work towards achieving the best outcomes for consumers.
This Carer Peer Worker position will provide support in the Subacute Older Persons Mental Health.
Under 25s of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to have a personal lived experience of mental illness and recovery and/or caring for someone with a lived experience of mental illness and recovery.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $50,292 p.a., comprising salary rates $39.98 - $44.46 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f.).
