This role is classified as a Level 2 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement (with a base salary range of $70,286 - $91,813, pro rata at .4 Full Time Equivalent as this role is part time, 2 days per week). The successful applicant will be offered remuneration that is commensurate with their skills and experience and in alignment with this framework.
The Role
This is a part-time role (2 days per week) with a hybrid working arrangement. The role is expected to be worked across one day in the office and one day working from home, with the specific days agreed to suit business requirements.
Reporting to a Business Affairs Manager within Production & Commercial Strategy, the Business Affairs Coordinator will support the acquisition and commissioning of television, online and digital rights for SBS channels in a complex multi-platform environment.
You will coordinate a high-volume portfolio of movie and video-on-demand acquisitions, ensuring contracts, rights information, payments and content delivery activities are accurate, well organised and progressed within deadline.
Key responsibilities include:

Drafting contracts from established templates, reviewing comments and coordinating contract documentation

Responding to offer, contract and rights-related correspondence

Maintaining accurate rights and financial information across systems including IBMS, Oracle and HPRM.

Generating purchase orders and supporting payment administration.

Liaising with internal teams regarding content delivery, scheduling, captioning and subtitling.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence managing correspondence, negotiating routine deal terms, and working effectively with internal teams and external content providers.

Strong coordination and administrative support skills, with a reliable and highly organised approach.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete repetitive and complex data-entry tasks.

Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience supporting contract administration processes and managing electronic documents and files.

An interest in the business side of content creation, including television and online rights and licensing.

Previous Business Affairs experience in the film or television industry is desirable, and knowledge of IBMS would be advantageous.

Production & Commercial Strategy supports SBS’s television and online content activities by managing the commercial, contractual and rights arrangements that enable content to be acquired, commissioned, delivered and made available across SBS platforms. The Business Affairs team works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the effective delivery of SBS content.
