Pulse Community Assist is seeking experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, complex care support for clients based in Melbourne's North, East and South Eastern suburbs. This is a casual role offering up to 30 hours per week, possibly more, with the right candidates ideally living locally or in the surrounding areas.
Pay: Above award rates (casual, inclusive of 25% casual loading; rate varies based on shift type and SCHADS Award classification)
Comprehensive tracheostomy training and competency assessment will be provided prior to commencing with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Ventilator and Tracheostomy care preferred
- Manual Handling, hoisting, slide sheets, repositioning and electric wheelchair operation
- High-dependency personal care: showering, toileting, continence care, pressure care and dignity-focused support
- Following detailed clinical care plans and emergency procedures
- Respiratory support, PEG feeding and similar high-dependency care (highly regarded)
About You
- Experience supporting clients with complex physical disabilities (e.g. Motor Neuron Disease, Spinal Cord Injury, Acquired Brain Injury)
- Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care (preferred)
- Confident manual handling and hoist skills - essential
- Clear communicator, comfortable with clinical routines
- Current driver's license and own vehicle (preferred but not essential)
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (Division 1)
- AHPRA Registration
- Available to work up to 30 hours per week on a casual basis
- Demonstrated understanding of infection prevention and control, including PPE use and hand hygiene
Pay: From $55.00 per hour
