CHEF – SOPRA CUCINA & BAR
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

Sopra Cucina Pty Ltd trading as Sopra Cucina & Bar is seeking a Chef to work full-time. We are looking for a qualified, motivated, experienced Chef to join our team of passionate and dedicated hospitality professionals.
As a Chef at Sopra Cucina & Bar, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Italian dishes, maintaining food quality and presentation standards, supporting smooth kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
-Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes in line with our seasonal Italian menu.
- Working with the Executive Chef to develop and create menus and daily specials.
- Ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standard and meets our restaurant’s quality expectations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of stock as needed.
- Enforcing kitchen hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations.
- Freezing and preserving foods.
- Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency across all sections.
- Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Any other duties reasonable requested by management.
About You:
- You hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma in Hospitality (or equivalent).• Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.• Strong passion for Italian cuisine and a keen eye for detail.• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.• Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.• Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.• Creative, proactive and eager to contribute ideas to the menu.
The position is full-time.
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
Salary negotiable for the right candidate and level of experience.
