Smart AVR is Melbourne's leading ADAS calibration and diagnostic specialist within the collision repair industry. As part of the AMA Group, we are proud to be at the forefront of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology, supporting repairers across Melbourne with industry-leading expertise and service.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced ADAS Technician / Diagnostic Technician to join our already strong team of 10+ technicians servicing the Melbourne metropolitan area.
About the Role
This is a field-based position where you will work from a fully equipped company van, travelling to customer sites throughout Melbourne to perform ADAS calibrations, vehicle diagnostics, and related technical services.
The successful candidate will undergo up to 4 weeks of initial training at our Bayswater facility, followed by on-road mentoring and support alongside one of our Head Technicians to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
Key Responsibilities

Perform ADAS calibrations on a wide range of vehicles

Conduct vehicle diagnostics and fault finding

Use specialised diagnostic and calibration equipment

Travel to customer locations across Melbourne in a company-supplied van

Complete service documentation and reports

Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support

Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Certificate III qualification in either:
-
Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or
-
Automotive Electrical Technology
-
Previous experience in vehicle diagnostics, auto electrical, or mechanical repair

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
-
A current driver's licence
-
The ability to work independently and manage your day effectively

A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies
Experience is essential. Previous ADAS experience is highly regarded but not mandatory, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
