Anglicare Sydney is seeking an experienced and motivated Quality and Compliance Manager to join our Quality, Safety & Risk team. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Residential Managers and Care Managers across a portfolio of Residential Aged Care Homes, providing expert guidance, oversight and support to ensure safe, hiugh0quality care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
As a trusted advisor, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, strengthening governance systems, supporting regulatory readiness, and helping our Homes deliver exceptional outcomes for the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining high-quality outcomes beyond compliance requirements.
Quality Framework Management: Oversee the development and implementation of the Quality Framework, including auditing, inspecting compliance, and providing necessary training and remedial actions.
Resident Care: Ensure all residents are treated with empathy and dignity, providing them with choices that enhance their wellbeing.
Policy and Procedure Management: Review and update policies and procedures to reflect current requirements and evidence-based practices.
Audit and Benchmarking: Conduct audits and respond to internal and external benchmarking results to address non-compliance and improve care outcomes.
Reporting and Risk Management: Implement a rigorous reporting system to inform operational decisions and manage safety and risk effectively.
Leadership: Provide professional and capable leadership aligned with Anglicare’s Christian vision, mission, values, and strategy. Develop and support staff, ensuring a positive and effective team environment.
Government and Grant Funding: Assist with applications and optimize opportunities for government or grant-related funding by maintaining necessary registrations.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the prevention and management of non-compliance and support the ongoing review and development of internal standards and care outcome targets.
Education and Experience:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) or relevant tertiary qualifications in health, quality, risk, governance or a related discipline.
Previous experience as a Quality Manager/Coordinator/Advisor, Residential Manager, Care Manager or Educator in aged care (Desirable).
Experience in auditing and assessing standards and outcomes for accreditation/registration of aged care facilities.
