SUPPORT WORKER WANTED – LAVINGTON NSW (ALBURY REGION) 2 Positions Available | 2:1 Complex & High-Intensity Support | Community Access
Crescent Care Foundation is seeking 2 experienced and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in the Lavington / Albury area (NSW) to support a male client with complex needs in the community.
Please note: Both positions will work together as a dedicated 2:1 support team for this participant. Candidates who can commit to working alongside a co-worker on a consistent basis are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the Role
These are 2 positions forming a dedicated 2:1 support team, providing community access support for a participant with high and complex needs.
- Positions Available: 2 (both required to work together per shift)
- Location: Lavington, NSW 2641
- Shifts: 2–3 times per week, 3–4 hours per shift
- Support Type: Community Access – High Intensity
- Employment Type: Casual / Part-Time
About the Participant
You will be supporting a 47-year-old male participant who has:
- Intellectual Disability
- Epilepsy
- Type II Diabetes
- Anxiety and Tremor
The participant requires very high levels of person-to-person support across mobility, self-care, community access, and self-management. A Behaviour Support Plan is in place and a Behaviour Support Practitioner is currently involved.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services
- Experience supporting participants with intellectual disability and complex health needs
- Sound understanding of epilepsy management and diabetes management
- Ability to follow and implement a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP)
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NSW Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Highly Regarded:
- Experience with restrictive practices and de-escalation strategies
- Experience with participants presenting with behaviours of concern
- Training in epilepsy first aid (e.g. Epilepsy Smart Australia)
- Experience working in 2:1 or complex care environments
