Description:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shotfirer to join the Blast team at our Woodie Woodie Manganese Operation, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara.
Reporting to the Blast Team Lead the successful applicant will be required to:
- Ability to manage the daily blast crew activities including ownership of explosive and regulatory magazine control.
- Promote safe working practises adhering to company values and procedures.
- Confirm all statutory regulations are adhered to in the drill and blast function.
- Ensuring all records of explosives storage and explosives usage are accurately maintained to a high standard.
- Provide support for the supervisor and team lead as per their direction.
- Ensure all housekeeping duties are undertaken by the drill and blast teams.
Skills and experience required to be successful in this role are:
- Have unlimited Right to Work in Australia
- Extensive experience as a shotfirer in an open pit mining environment with working knowledge of drill & blast design packages.
- Electronic Shot Firing experience .
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
- Current Shot Firers Certificate and WA Dangerous Goods Security Card essential.
- Clear National Police Clearance (Issued within 6 Months).
- Current C class driver’s license.
