Position Overview
Maestro Carpentry is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction and carpentry projects, with a particular focus on government-funded and public sector works in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities from initiation through to completion. Must ensure strict deadlines are met, within budget constraints, and in accordance with high touch point clients with meticulous specifications. The successful person will display a strong understanding of WHS requirements, contractual obligations across government and private sectors, and will have impeccable quality standards.
This role is ideal for a professional with demonstrated experience in fast paced, high demand project coordination and with demonstrated government experience in the UK and Australia.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery
- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of multiple construction and carpentry projects.
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, budget constraints, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
- Source and Coordinate varying subcontractors, suppliers, trades, and internal teams throughout project lifecycles.
Project Administration & Government Projects
- Support administration and compliance of government contracts in accordance with procurement guidelines, tender specifications, and reporting obligations.
- Manage project documentation including scopes of works, variations, purchase orders and project reports.
- Ensure contract deliverables meet government standards and regulatory requirements across both Australian and UK frameworks.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain accurate project records, compliance registers, and audit-ready documentation.
- Support implementation of project governance and reporting systems.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key communication point between high calibre clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, including occasional weekends.
- Provide project updates, status reports, and issue resolution recommendations to management, ensuring compliance is met.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of all levels, from groundworkers to CEOs to support project success.
- Manage escalations with minimal support.
Skills & Experience Required
- Diploma in a relevant field and at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in government sectors in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
- Knowledge of public procurement processes, tender compliance, and project coordination.
- Strong project scheduling, and documentation management skills.
- Strong adaptability to work across different sectors including government and private.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and document control systems.
- Experience working within construction, carpentry, building, or infrastructure environments is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: $77,000.00 – $88,000.00 per year
