As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) - RSQ you are a critical member of the RSQ team. The ENP role is required to work closely with the Hospital and Health Services, the RSQ leadership team and RSQ staff to deliver a telehealth model of care to rural and remote Queensland Emergency Departments.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide and coordinate comprehensive care of patients using advanced practice skills in the area of emergency in a telehealth environment. The role of the Nurse Practitioner RSQ will:
Function in a collaborative telehealth model to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral as required.
Provide safe, quality, cost effective care and practice within the Nurse Practitioner's approved Scope of Practice that is consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-based practice.
What you'll do
As the Emergency Nurse Practitioner Telehealth, you will provide expert clinical nursing and telehealth support to deliver and enhance RSQ Telehealth Nurse Practitioner service models across rural and remote healthcare settings. Drawing on your advanced clinical expertise, exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you will collaborate with a broad range of partners to drive innovative, high-quality patient care. You will contribute to service improvement and change management initiatives, embed policies and processes that support the RSQ Telehealth model, and utilise innovative technologies, including videoconference-enabled clinical services, to improve access to healthcare. Your understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within regional, rural and remote health services will support successful outcomes for patients, clinicians and communities.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Masters of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or recognised equivalent (if outside of Australia)
AHPRA Registered Nurse with an endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced scope of practice nursing role utilizing advanced level decision making
The ability to collaborate with others on issues relating to professional and clinical practice
The skills to participate in a model of care delivered via digital and other technologies
Expert knowledge of nursing care for RSQ retrieval and RSQ Telehealth patients
