Receptionist – Permanent Part Time

The Job
We are looking for a mature, friendly person to join our reception team on specific days – Monday and Tuesday 8.30am-5.30pm (with 1 hour lunch break), Wednesday 8.30am-1.00pm. Flexibility to cover other days if the other receptionist is sick or on leave is essential.
The receptionist is the first point of contact with both existing and potential clients, and as such you need to have a warm and welcoming personality, excellent phone manner and ease of communication with both adults and children. Previous reception experience is preferred but training will be given to the right candidate.
Who are We?
The Canberra Osteopathic & Wellbeing Centre is a busy, family orientated clinic, with 5 osteopaths, a naturopath and an acupuncturist. Our core values include working together in a team where there is mutual respect and consideration between practitioners and staff, where patients feel welcome and their needs are met respectfully and helpfully.
Our patients range from a few days old to elderly citizens. We have a strong reputation for the treatment of infants and children, so reception can be a busy, sometimes noisy, place.
If you are the ideal candidate, you will:-
- be of mature age, available now and in a position to commit to a minimum of 12 months, preferably longer
- be punctual, reliable, and well presented
- have the flexibility to cover reception on other and / or additional days in the case of staff sickness or holidays
- be interested in, and willing to learn about, the treatments we provide and the sorts of conditions we can help
- be able to work in a busy environment, both on your own and as part of a team
- have excellent written and spoken English
- have a friendly and easy communication style and an excellent telephone manner
- be computer literate
- have a positive attitude and meticulous attention to detail
