About the role:
This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of Finance & Business Intelligence team at Joondalup Health Campus, providing comprehensive data analysis and insights, and supporting the team with data governance and operational reporting. The Hospital Data Analyst role is on a permanent full-time basis.
As a Data Analyst your role will entail, but is not limited to:

Preparing financial and operational reports for executive and project teams informing stakeholders about patterns, trends, and insights.

Carrying out data interrogation and analysis which includes transforming raw data into usable datasets.

Writing supporting documentation and processes to meet Business Intelligence and Data Governance requirements.

Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of data assets both locally and cloud.

Provides support across various functions, including annual budgeting and data modelling.

Takes ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities and proactively seeks to improve reporting and business processes.
About You:
-
Proven experience in an analytical role, involving the collection, structuring, analysis, and presentation of data.

Possess tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting/data science/statistics, with practical experience of financial or statistical modelling.

Understanding and experience of databases and associated ETL framework with platforms such as SQL Server or BigQuery.

Understanding and experience of reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI.

Excel data modelling experience with a proven ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively
describe problems and findings, and present insights to various audiences
(technical and non-technical) using visualisation tools. -
Problem-solving skills, demonstrating conceptual and analytical ability within a
large organisation with complex data structures.
