Sebstainable Pty Ltd T/A KAI2 & CO is seeking a qualified and motivated Management Accountant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
Location: 6–8 The Boulevard, Malvern East VIC 3145
Salary: AUD 75,000 – AUD 85,000 per annum plus superannuation
About the Role
The Management Accountant will support the company's financial management, budgeting, reporting, governance and compliance functions while providing financial analysis and strategic advice to support business operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare management reports, financial summaries and performance analyses for management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and cost-benefit analysis, to support operational and strategic planning.
- Monitor financial performance and identify trends and opportunities for improved business performance.
- Support the financial management and reporting requirements of grant-funded and CRC-P projects.
- Liaise with external accountants and tax advisers regarding BAS, payroll, superannuation, taxation and other financial compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting processes, templates, internal controls and standard operating procedures.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, financial records and reporting frameworks.
- Provide financial advice and support to management across the business and related entities.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- At least one year of relevant experience in management accounting, financial analysis or a similar role.
- Progress towards CPA Australia or Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) professional accreditation.
- Sound knowledge of management accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a professional team.
