We are seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Teacher to lead our mixed-age Kindergarten room (3–4 years). You will plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS), while fostering a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
What You'll Do
- Plan, implement, and evaluate a kindergarten program for a mixed-age 3–4 year old cohort
- Build genuine, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain accurate documentation, observations, and learning records
- Work collaboratively with your co-educators and room team to support each child's individual development
- Contribute to a safe, compliant environment in line with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Actively participate in centre programs, family engagement initiatives, and quality improvement processes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) with current VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) registration — essential
- Demonstrated teaching experience in an early childhood or kindergarten setting
- Sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and team members
- A calm, warm, and professional approach to classroom leadership
- Montessori training or experience is highly regarded, though not essential — we welcome teachers keen to learn the Montessori approach on the job
- Current Working with Children Check, First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis/Asthma certification (or willingness to obtain)
