Job Description – Pasta Chef
Position: Pasta Chef (Part-Time or Casual)
Location: Frankston VIC
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cook to join our busy takeaway pizza shop. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking our pasta dishes to a consistently high standard while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook all pasta dishes according to shop recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate commercial fryer
- Cook pasta to the correct texture and prepare sauces consistently.
- Portion ingredients accurately to minimise waste and maintain food costs.
- Assist with food preparation, including vegetables, meats and sauces.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation throughout each shift.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment as required.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
- Assist with other kitchen duties when required, including helping the pizza team.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience (1-2 Years) working in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure and fast paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Requirements:
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and Public Holidays 5pm to 9pm is a must
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual kitchen tasks.
- Australian working rights.

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
