The Opportunity
SunPork Consolidated Pty Ltd requires Agricultural Engineering Technologists (Feedmill) to directly support our Queensland Feedmill operations. This position is full time and will be based out of our Feedmill in Warra, Queensland. This position requires ongoing testing and implementation of Feedmill engineering and production technologies to support smooth and efficient production at all times.
Responsibilities, tasks, and duties:
- Operate, monitor and maintain feed mill production equipment and automated systems to support safe, efficient and reliable feed manufacturing.
- Analyse production processes, equipment performance and operational data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, process and automation issues, carrying out running repairs and supporting preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
- Support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing development of feed mill technologies, automation systems and engineering solutions.
- Monitor raw material inventory, stock control systems, weighbridge operations and production reporting to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct quality checks, process testing and equipment calibration activities to ensure compliance with FeedSafe GMP standards and company quality requirements.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety, quality assurance and environmental compliance while promoting best-practice standards across the Feed Mill.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance and management teams to support production targets, solve technical challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelors degree in science, technology, mechanical or process engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial Feedmill operations, process or technology
- A preparedness to work flexible hours (including some weekends and public holidays)
- Have the ability to work under pressure to meet production and customer requirements
- Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and bio-security standards
- Be willing to undertake any additional training required for the role
- A demonstrated professional, safe organised and disciplined approach to work
- Current drivers licence
Pay: $79,500.00 – $80,500.00 per year
