Waterfall Gully Pre School is a sessional kindergarten located in Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula. Waterfall Gully Pre School is committed to ensuring all children who attend our service have the best possible early childhood education. This includes providing a child safe environment for children to feel and be safe and secure, ensuring health and wellbeing are made a priority at all times and ensuring the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and families by supporting their right to express their culture. Our Code of Conduct and Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy aligns with the Commission for Children and Young People Child Safe Standards.
Terms of Employment: We are seeking educators to join our casual relief team. Casual employment is offered on an as needed basis. Work will be scheduled on weekdays between the operating hours of 8am-4:30pm. Lunch cover shifts are within school hours.
Position Description:
- Using your knowledge of the VEYLDF, you will educate and care for the children in your group
- Assist in creating engaging and inviting play spaces
- Ensure all children in the group are encouraged to explore and learn
- Ensure observations of the children are documented in a positive way so learning can be extended
- Know the children and their needs to ensure health and safety is maintained at all times
- Ensure your knowledge of the Child Safe Standards is up to date and each of the Child Safe Standards are being adhered to
- Work in a team environment, taking direction as needed whilst also being able to work independently
- Work positively and appropriately with staff, parents and committee of management
Certificate III, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
