At Siemens, we're accelerating the transformation of our energy systems, and our Electrification and Automation (EA) Service team is at the forefront of that mission. We're looking for a Service Project Manager to lead multiple customer service projects across Australia, focusing on the installation, commissioning, upgrades and maintenance of medium-voltage electrical systems.
Based in Melbourne or Sydney, this is a dynamic role suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical delivery, customer engagement and operational execution. Success in this role requires strong project management capability, ownership, sound judgement and the ability to adapt to changing customer, project and business requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Project Manager in the Service Business Unit, you will:
- Lead a portfolio of medium-voltage electrification service projects, including installations, retrofits, upgrades and maintenance activities.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes, priorities, schedules and customer requirements.
- Work closely with customers to define project scope, understand requirements, identify opportunities and negotiate variations.
- Coordinate project teams, internal stakeholders, subcontractors and site resources to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
- Drive adherence to project milestones, quality requirements, budget targets and customer commitments.
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment, resolve issues and support successful project outcomes.
- Apply Siemens project management standards, governance requirements and compliance obligations, including EHS, tax, export control and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, simplify ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Leverage digital tools, data and AI-enabled solutions where appropriate to improve project planning, delivery and productivity.
Your Core Capabilities will include:
- Proven experience delivering technical projects in electrical, industrial, infrastructure, automation, utilities or related environments.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and customer-facing delivery outcomes is highly desirable, particularly within service, maintenance or field-delivery environments.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of outcomes, proactively identify issues and drive solutions through to completion.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Sound judgement and decision-making capability, particularly when balancing technical, commercial, operational and customer considerations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a broader team environment.
Technical Background
- Experience working with electrical, electrification, industrial automation, infrastructure or field-service environments will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of medium-voltage systems, installation, commissioning, maintenance or upgrade projects is desirable.
- Engineering, Electrical, Project Management or related qualifications will be highly regarded.
Mindset and Ways of Working:
We're looking for people who demonstrate:
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Adaptability and openness to new ways of working.
- A continuous-improvement mindset.
- Strong personal accountability.
- Customer focus and collaborative problem solving.
- Comfort using modern digital tools and emerging technologies to improve performance and project outcomes.
