Why this role matters
Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve greater independence and life opportunities? We are seeking a motivated and organised professional to join our Drive for Life team and help young people overcome barriers to obtaining their driver's licence.
The Drive for Life program supports young people experiencing vulnerability or disadvantage by providing education, mentoring, practical support and access to supervised driving opportunities. This role is central to ensuring participants receive the guidance, training and support they need to successfully obtain their learner and provisional licences.
About the role
This is a part-time (3 days a week) maternity leave cover position through to March, 2027, classified at SCHADS Award Level 3.
You will work closely with young people, volunteers, driving instructors, community organisations and government agencies to deliver a structured and supportive licensing program. You will coordinate participant and volunteer engagement, facilitate learner licence education and training, manage bookings and program administration, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
This role combines community engagement, youth support, training facilitation and administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships while maintaining strong organisational systems. You will play a key role in helping young people achieve an important milestone that can increase access to employment, education and community participation.
How you will make an impact
- Coordinate participant intake, inductions, learner licence training and Service NSW bookings.

Support young people to obtain required identification, complete licensing requirements and achieve their learner licence goals.

Deliver group and individual training sessions, including the Get Licensed, Get Legal, Get Skilled program.

Coordinate driving lesson bookings and transport participants to appointments and program activities as required.

Recruit, induct and support volunteers participating in the program.

Maintain accurate participant records, reports, financial records and program documentation.

Manage online bookings, correspondence and general enquiries.

Ensure compliance with contractual, funding and WHS requirements.

Monitor participant progress and contribute to program evaluation and continuous improvement activities.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with community partners, referral agencies, volunteers and government stakeholders.

Work collaboratively with internal teams, management and funding bodies to achieve positive outcomes for young people.

Contribute to a positive team culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement.
What you will bring

Certificate IV in Business Administration or Training and Assessment or significant demonstrated equivalent relevant experience, knowledge and skills.

Current NSW Working with Children Check.

Current Driver Licence.

Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite, email, word-processing,

A strong team focus with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build relationships with people of all backgrounds

Excellent organisational skills

Able to interact positively with young people, parents and co-workers
