About the Role
We are seeking a practical, reliable and motivated person to join our team in a hands-on Construction Leading Hand position. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working onsite, supporting crews, assisting with logistics and helping maintain an organised warehouse and work environment.
The Construction Leading Hand is responsible for assisting Project Managers and onsite crews with the delivery of projects, coordinating materials and equipment, supporting site activities and assisting with warehouse and logistics operations.
The role includes:
- Assisting onsite crews and Project Managers
- Hands-on construction and labour support
- Coordinating materials, tools and deliveries
- Warehouse organisation and stock control
- Delivering materials and equipment to site
- Assisting with quality checks and progress reporting
- Helping maintain safe, clean and organised worksites and warehouse areas
Key Responsibilities:
Site Support
- Conduct pre-site inspections and assist with project setup
- Assist with coordination of crews, subcontractors and suppliers onsite
- Ensure tools, materials and equipment are ready for upcoming works
- Assist with onsite construction activities in a hands-on capacity
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to Project Managers
- Conduct quality checks and take progress photos throughout works
- Assist with resolving onsite issues and minimising downtime
- Ensure works are completed to company and client standards
- Assist with project clean-up and defect rectification
Warehouse & Logistics Support
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation
- Conduct stocktakes and assist with inventory control
- Organise and prepare materials and equipment for projects
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
- Deliver materials, tools and equipment to project sites
- Check incoming freight and report damaged or missing items
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stored correctly
- Assist with general warehouse and yard duties

Requirements
- Current Driver Licence (essential)
- Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Construction White Card (preferred)
- Ability to perform manual handling and physical work
- Ability to travel to project sites when required
