You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.
You're looking to contribute to the transformation of the transport sector towards a greener and more sustainable future. You want to actively participate in shaping policies and initiatives that reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy adoption, and enhance the overall environmental performance of the transport network.
In this role, you'll:
Work within our REZ Program Management Team within the Operations Planning Branch of the Coordinator General division at Transport for NSW, with a focus on identifying practical solutions, advising and driving outcomes and improvements for operational activities within an active go-live environment.
This role will see you providing operational judgement and adaptability across a broad and shifting set of tasks. It will draw on Business Analyst (BA) adjacent skills including- project management, risk, business process design, stakeholder and cross-agency engagement, and operational readiness - applied in a live delivery environment rather than a controlled software-development one.
You will conduct investigative work to identify appropriate and practical solutions, where your role will extend well beyond a traditional ICT/IT BA function. This will see you, on any given day, may be working on a program management activity, and the next on scoping an operational software booking process.

About you
Your demonstrated operational environment experience will have ideally been in the transport or energy sectors and as a result you are comfortable working in an active go-live environment.
You’re recognised for your ability to successfully work in a fast paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment with ambiguous goals and objectives where you have successfully developed processes.
You will be joining a new function in the business, where your ability to critically assess and identify opportunities for improvement and process improvement will be drawn upon.
As a result, you are a self-starter, collaborative, flexible, delivery and outcomes focused and someone who can do what is required to meet deadlines.
This is an Award Transport Grade 8 Temporary Fixed Term Full-Time role till 31/12/2027 based in Sydney CBD, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model.
