What are we looking for?
We are seeking an Assistant Department Supervisor who will be responsible responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the receiving department and ensuring all inbound stock is processed accurately, safely, and within required timeframes. We're looking for someone with high attention to detail, excellent time management skills and a can-do attitude!
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Manage daily labour, rosters, performance, and allocation of work.
- Oversee all inbound receiving activity, including unloading, checking, receipting, and processing stock.
- Check container loads, verify inbound quantities, and manage import stock from arrival through to warehouse handover.
- Prepare and apply carton labels for inbound stock as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all inbound stock and investigate variances.
- Ensure all receiving transactions and stock movements are entered correctly and within required timeframes.
- Ensure WHS processes, PPE, equipment use, and housekeeping standards are followed.
- Provide daily and weekly updates on receiving, import stock, QC, discrepancies, and issues.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong receiving and inventory control experience
- Forklift license desirable
- Ability to prepare and manage carton labels accurately
- Experience pulling and staging stock for QC
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and organisation
- A ‘Can Do’ attitude and willingness to support/collaborate with the team
