**Full-Time Prep Chef — Cassia Freo**
Cassia Freo is a vibrant Modern Australian restaurant in the heart of Fremantle, known for its energetic atmosphere, seasonal menu, and high quality guest experience. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a reliable and passionate Prep Chef to join our kitchen team.
-About the Role
This is a hands-on prep focused role working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent food quality. You’ll be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, sauces, garnishes, and menu components that support our fast-paced kitchen environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organised kitchen prep, takes pride in consistency, and thrives in a busy team setting.
-Key Responsibilities
* Prepare fresh ingredients and menu components for daily service
* Complete vegetable, meat, seafood, and sauce preparation
* Assist with portioning, labelling, and stock rotation
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of prep areas
* Support the kitchen team with general food preparation tasks
* Ensure consistency and high-quality presentation standards
* Assist with stock control and inventory management
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance procedures
-What We’re Looking For
* Previous kitchen or prep chef experience preferred
* Strong knife skills and food preparation knowledge
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Good organisation and time management skills
* Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
* High attention to detail and cleanliness
* Availability for weekdays, evenings, and weekends

* Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Full Australian working rights
