About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll function on a 12-month maximum term contract, supporting continuity while our current Payroll Manager contributes to a new HRMIS/payroll system.
Reporting to the GM of People, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the end-to-end payroll function, working closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a well-established function with strong processes and an experienced team, while also contributing to operational improvements aligned to the implementation of a new payroll system.
This role is based at our central office in Rivervale, with a flexible working environment.
We’ll be asking you to:

Oversee the payroll team

Undertake reporting and reconciliation

Consult with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our payroll

Prepare reports for management

End to End Payroll Functions
-
Provide technical support and guidance to the team

Calculating terminations, redundancies and leave

Award and EBA interpretation
-
Ensuring payments of superannuation and other payroll liabilities
-
Keeping up to date with Award and IR changes that may impact the company

Work closely and collaboratively with People Services (HR) to ensure that all contractual responsibilities are maintained
About you:
You are an experienced Payroll Manager who thrives in a leadership role and is comfortable working within complex payroll environments. Experience with PayGlobal and supporting legacy systems will be highly regarded.
You will bring:

Previous substantial experience in a management role

Comprehensive payroll systems knowledge

Advanced excel skills and understanding of manual payroll calculations

Excellent communication skills

Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements

Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards

Well-developed reporting skills
