Barista / All-Rounder (Part-Time / Casual)
About Us
JFT Japan Foods Trading Pty. Ltd. is one of Victoria's established Japanese food importers and distributors, based in Rowville. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Barista / All-Rounder to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Assist with preparing the coffee, including equipment setup, stock organisation and workflow preparation
- Prepare quality coffee and other beverages while maintaining consistent standards
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Help train and support new team members with coffee preparation, service procedures and daily tasks
- Work closely with the team during the opening and initial stages of the business
- Assist with food preparation, cleaning and other general duties
- Keep the work area clean, organised and well maintained
Requirements
- Intermediate conversational English
- At least 1 year of hospitality experience, with good barista and customer service skills
- Current Australian RSA
- Previous experience training or supporting other staff is an advantage
- Positive attitude and willingness to be involved in setting up and developing a new business
- Good communication, teamwork and leadership skills
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
- Ideally able to commit to a long-term position, with a minimum commitment of 1 year preferred
- Full working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or visa holder with unrestricted work rights)
- Japanese language skills are an advantage but not essential
- Familiarity with Japanese grocery products would be beneficial
