This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced café environment, takes pride in delivering exceptional coffee, and enjoys leading and supporting a team.
With the business now under new ownership, we are focused on building a positive team culture, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and continuing to grow within our local community.
About the Role
As our Head Barista, you will oversee the day-to-day coffee operations while maintaining high beverage standards, supporting café staff, and helping create a welcoming and efficient workplace environment.
You will play a key role in setting the tone for service, quality, and team culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing high-quality coffees and beverages
- Dialling in espresso and maintaining coffee quality standards
- Leading and supporting barista and café staff during service
- Training and mentoring junior team members
- Managing workflow during busy periods
- Monitoring stock levels and coffee supplies
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station
- Delivering exceptional customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years barista experience in a busy café
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction and milk texturing
- Confident working independently on a machine
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Friendly, professional, and reliable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Availability for early mornings and weekends
