Role description
The Corporate Services Director is a key executive leadership position responsible for leading and managing the non-clinical corporate functions of Cohuna District Hospital. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and contributing as a member of the Executive Management Team, this role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality corporate services that support the organisation's strategic goals and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and operational oversight across a diverse portfolio including Support Services (Environmental and Food Services), Facilities and Infrastructure, Reception and Administration, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Procurement and Contract Management, Asset and Fleet Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Data Reporting, and corporate projects.
As Chief Procurement Officer for the organisation, the Corporate Services Director will ensure strong governance, compliance, risk management and procurement practices, while driving continuous improvement, customer service excellence and operational efficiency across all areas of responsibility.
Working collaboratively with the Executive Management Team, the Corporate Services Director will play a critical role in organisational planning, service development and future growth opportunities. This position may also be required to deputise for the Chief Executive Officer as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all corporate and support service functions across the organisation.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned with organisational priorities.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and policy requirements.
- Provide executive oversight of procurement, contract management and asset management activities.
- Lead workplace health and safety initiatives and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Oversee facilities, infrastructure and ICT services to support efficient service delivery.
- Manage corporate reporting, performance monitoring and project delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to executive decision-making and organisational leadership as a member of the Executive Management Team.
