Job Summary
* Review job specifications and plans to confirm materials required
* Confirming new frame locations and checking measurements prior to old frame removal
* Construct and assemble timber parts required as part of the installation process
* Preparing apertures and work areas prior to installing new frames
* Measure and calculate adjustments to fit frames
* Install the structural posts and poles required for the installation to replace rotten timber structural posts, where necessary
* Install all internal finishes whether this be of hardwood or softwood materials
* Install all window reveals and architraves
* Be proficient in the usage of all joinery machinery for cutting and dressing timbers to correct sizes
* Internal and external caulking of windows and doors
* Fitting hardware
* Liaising with the installations supervisor and the to report on job progress
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
a minimum of 3 years work experience as carpenter / joiner
- full clean driving licence
- be able to effectively manage your own time keeping in line with job deadlines and customer expectations
- good customer service skills
- pro-active communication skills
- good problem solving skills
- be reliable
