About the Role
We are currently seeking an Engineering Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis due to our business expansion in production machine installation and commissioning field. This hands-on technical role will provide technical support through equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, modification, and continuous improvement activities. The role ensures equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while supporting engineering projects, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation equipment for the client.
- Support installation, commissioning, validation, and start-up of new machines for the project.
- Conduct equipment performance testing and evaluate results against design requirements.
- Support equipment qualification, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ) where applicable.
- Modify existing equipment to improve reliability, safety, and production performance.
- Provide technical support for corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the client, deliver equipment operation and maintenance training where required.
- Use CAD software to create prototypes and production models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience in Engineering Technologist role, Mechanical Engineering role, or similar technical role.
- A relevant qualification in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field
- Experience in machine and equipment installation, operation, commissioning, maintenance, training, and project handover.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and engineering design principles.
About you
- Experience in FMCG or Pharmaceutical environment is a must.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written.
- Be able to work in a team or alone and follow the instructions.
- Be able to communicate with machine or equipment supplier.
- Have experience using hand and power tools.
- Full Driver Licence is required.
- HRW (High risk work) licence and white card is preferred.
- Bilingual and project management experience is a plus.
- Be able to travel to difference sites or oversea if required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
Salary
- $85,000 - $90,000 per year + Superannuation
Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
