Chef – Indian & Asian Cuisine(Fusion Food)

Munch Station is a growing local food business in Wangaratta, Victoria, and we are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team.
We are seeking a passionate and reliable chef with strong commercial kitchen experience. Experience with Indian and Asian cuisine is highly desirable, and tandoor experience or formal tandoor training would be an advantage.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of Indian and Asian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking Indian and Asian dishes to a consistent standard
- Tandoor cooking
- Food preparation, portion control and kitchen organisation
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensuring quality and consistency of all dishes
- Managing kitchen operations during busy periods
- Stock rotation and minimising food wastage
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Working effectively as part of a small team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Has strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Has experience with Indian and/or Asian cuisine(fusion food)
- Tandoor experience or training is highly desirable
- Has a good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised
- Takes pride in food quality and presentation
- Works well independently and as part of a team
