The Business Improvement team within the City and Environment Directorate is looking for an Assistant Director with excellent strategic thinking and writing skills as well as an ability to problem solve that is second to none. The work is varied, can be fast-paced and will involve working collaboratively with each branch across the directorate and key stakeholders across the ACT Public Service. This team is often called on to respond to emerging priorities and strategic issues as they arise.

Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to 12 months with the possibility of permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing and flexible start and finish times.
Please note, this position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
