We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Fleet & Transport Coordinator to join our team supporting Defence transport operations at HMAS Kuttabul and HMAS Waterhen.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring Defence vehicles are maintained, operationally ready, and available to meet daily transport requirements, while providing administrative and customer service support to Defence personnel.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role combining fleet operations, customer service, and administration. You will be responsible for vehicle presentation, inspections, bookings, documentation, and coordinating vehicle servicing to support safe and effective transport operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Operations
- Wash, vacuum, and fuel vehicles to ensure fleet presentation standards are maintained.
- Conduct vehicle audits and complete non-technical vehicle inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, compliant, and ready for operational use.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Transport vehicles to and from service providers as required.
Transport Administration
- Manage self-drive vehicle bookings using the Stave Fleet Booking System.
- Process vehicle loans, including handovers and returns for Defence personnel.
- Prepare, print, and maintain vehicle loan documentation.
- Scan and upload records into company systems and Defence Restricted Network (DRN) platforms.
- Maintain accurate vehicle and booking records.
- Complete general administrative duties to support transport operations.
Customer Service
- Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Respond to transport-related enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Build strong relationships with Defence personnel and stakeholders.
Pay: From $34.70 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
