Summary
We are seeking skilled and confident Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide person-centred support to two young men (ages 24 and 26) with Level 3 autism spectrum disorder and complex support needs. This role requires strong communication skills, calm decision-making, and the ability to implement behaviour support strategies consistently and safely. We are seeking reliable and flexible team members who are available to work a variety of shifts and can respond to short-notice staffing requirements when needed.
About the role
You will support residents to follow structured routines, increase independence and participate meaningfully in daily life. The role includes:

Supporting daily living skills and personal care
- Implementing proactive and reactive behaviour strategies
- Providing community access and skill-building opportunities
- Following comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
- Accurate documentation and consistent communication with the support team and family
- Following medication administration requirements, including PRN administration
Shifts are available across weekdays and weekends:

7:00am – 3:00pm
- 3:00pm – 10:00pm
- Active awake overnight shifts (10:00pm – 7:00am)
We are looking for workers who can complete shifts across these different shift times, who are able to pick up shifts on an ad hoc basis with the potential to pick up ongoing shifts for the right candidate.
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2+ years’ experience supporting people with autism and complex behaviours of concern
- Ability to remain calm and implement de-escalation techniques during high-intensity incidents
- Confident working independently while following detailed support plans
- Understanding of restrictive practices and commitment to safe, ethical implementation
- Strong communication and adaptability to each individual’s needs
- Patient, respectful, and committed to improving quality of life
- Physically capable of working safely during behavioural incidents
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- Availability for a variety of shifts, including weekends

Essential Requirements
