Based at Cumberland Hospital, you will join a highly regarded Public Health team dedicated to improving community health outcomes across one of Australia's most diverse and rapidly growing regions. This is a unique opportunity to lead large-scale immunisation programs that directly improve population health, reduce preventable disease and strengthen community confidence in vaccination. Working alongside public health experts, healthcare providers, researchers and key government stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping immunisation services and strategies across Western Sydney Local Health District.

What you'll be doing
As the Immunisation Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and expert clinical oversight for immunisation programs across the District. You will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of school-based vaccination programs, childhood immunisation initiatives and targeted programs for priority populations, ensuring services are safe, effective and aligned with NSW Health standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of immunisation programs across Western Sydney Local Health District
- Develop and drive strategies to improve vaccination uptake and achieve immunisation coverage targets
- Provide expert advice and consultation to health professionals, stakeholders, technical networks and the wider community
- Lead research, quality improvement and service evaluation initiatives to advance immunisation practice and outcomes
- Build and support a high-performing team while fostering strong partnerships across healthcare, public health and community sectors

Selection Criteria:
1. Tertiary qualification in health-related field and/or relevant experience
2. Expert knowledge of immunisation issues, policies practices and procedures
3. Proven ability to initiate strategies to improve immunisation uptake in the general community and disadvantaged groups.
4. High level written communication skills and demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills
5. Demonstrated skill and experience in strategic and clinical service planning, delivery & evaluation.
6. Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
7. Demonstrated management experience in a clinical or community health setting
