Reporting to the Business Manager, your role as a Condition Monitoring Technician will be on a Permanent Full-Time basis working in regional Portland, Victoria.
You will support our reliability and maintenance teams by implementing and maintaining condition-based monitoring programs across critical plant and equipment. You will assist in detecting early signs of mechanical degradation, reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine condition monitoring tasks including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil sampling and data collection
- Carrying out sensor installation, in-situ field balancing and alignment of rotating machinery
- Analyse machine condition data and identify trends and early indications of failure
- Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to maintenance and engineering teams
The successful applicant will ideally have
- ISO 18436-2 / Level II Vibration Analysis Training and Certification
- 2+ years analysis experience (MHM knowledge advantageous)
- Thermography training and qualification highly regarded
- Hands-on mechanical experience and knowledge with oil/grease sampling
- Strong communication and people skills
- Safe work practices and commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen
