About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team as a sub-contractor. In this role, you will primarily support clients under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as well as older adults receiving services through the Support at Home program and residential aged-care facilities.
In this role you will:
· Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication and swallowing assessments for NDIS participants and older adults.
· Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based therapy and intervention plans.
· Maintain comprehensive and accurate records and documentation in line with industry standards
· Work collaboratively with clients, their families and caregivers, support coordinators, case managers, allied-health professionals, and other services to support person centred and high-quality care
· Be comfortable working across both home settings (for NDIS and Support at Home clients) and residential aged-care facilities and telehealth
What we are looking for:
· At least 2 years’ experience (essential)
· At least 1 year experience working as a speech pathologist within the NDIS sector (desirable)
· Experience in feeding therapy (desirable)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· An empathetic approach with excellent rapport-building abilities
· Strong organisational and time-management skills
· Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to travel across different regions in Melbourne and work in various settings
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
· Willingness to provide clinical mentoring and support to future speech pathologists joining the team as the service expands
· Willingness to contribute to the development of speech pathology resources, such as assessment templates and report templates, as the speech pathology service grows

· Current Victoria Driver Licence
· Registration with Speech Pathology Australia Membership
· Valid Police Check
· Australian Business Number (ABN)
· Professional Indemnity Insurance
· NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
· Working with Children Check
