The Opportunity
Our Performance, Reporting & Risk team is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join the team based in Mascot AND Port Kembla. As part of the broader Australian Steel Products (ASP) portfolio, you’ll support a complex, large-scale manufacturing environment that delivers innovative solutions to domestic and export markets.
With our recent restructure this role will see you provide financial reporting expertise, strategic insight, and leadership across accounting and reporting processes. You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders across our Australian and New Zealand operations, driving improved performance, consistency, and decision-making across the business.
What Will You Do?
You’ll play a key role in shaping how financial performance is understood and delivered across the business, combining technical expertise with commercial insight and stakeholder influence. You will also:

Own end-to-end financial reporting and performance insights
Own critical components of the monthly, half-year and year-end close, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and compliant. You’ll deliver financial reports, oversee reconciliations, and support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial control and visibility across the business. -
Drive better ways of working across reporting and accounting
Champion continuous improvement by streamlining, standardising and enhancing reporting processes. You’ll play a key role in driving capability and strengthening consistency across the finance function. -
Partner with leaders to influence performance outcomes
Build strong relationships across the business to deliver clear, actionable insights that support decision-making and challenge performance. You’ll translate financial information into practical recommendations for both financial and non-financial stakeholders. -
Lead governance and technical accounting outcomes
Provide guidance on complex accounting matters while maintaining strong financial controls. You’ll ensure compliance with reporting standards, support reconciliations, and uphold robust governance practices across the business.
More About You
You’re motivated, curious, and keen to learn, with a strong foundation in finance or accounting. You will bring:

a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business (CA or CPA qualified)

experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous but not essential.

a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving capability

strong communication and collaboration skills

a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement
